Thank you to Pastor Frank and his wife for the huge donation of bricks and pavers for the garden park.  We are excited that you consider the garden park a great asset to the area and are working to make the 5 Points park a wonderful gathering and relaxing place.

Garden park location: 3754 n. Port Washington Ave 9am.

Multiple lessons and gardening and masonry tasks. Bring gloves and any weeding tools. After this, you may attend the Health Fair held at Grace Fellowship Church 3879 N Port Washington starting at 10am with the many partners of Grace, Families Moving Forward, and stop by the 5pna information table for a variety of topics of information, sign the peace pledge, and sign up for the ANP program.

Bridge closure

Capitol Drive under Port Washington Road to close Friday

Traffic being maintained via on-and-off ramps during weekend closure
I-43 northbound exit ramp also to close long-term
Beginning Friday, May 10 starting at 6:00 p.m., a series of closures will begin to facilitate the reconstruction of the North Port Washington Bridge over West Capitol Drive.
For demolition of the North Port Washington Bridge, please note the following traffic control beginning Friday, May 10th starting at 6:00 p.m.*
  • A lane of traffic moving in each direction will be maintained on West Capitol Drive by routing traffic onto the entrance and exit ramps from North Port Washington Avenue.
  • The ramp from I-43 northbound to eastbound Capitol Drive will be closed.
  • North Port Washington Avenue will be closed to through traffic in both directions.
*The contractor has been allowed to work overnight during the bridge demolition phase.*
Once the bridge demolition is complete on Monday, May 13, the contractor will begin constructing the bridge pier. The following traffic control is anticipated to last until mid-June.
  • A lane of traffic moving in each direction will be maintained on the outside lanes (curbside) of West Capitol Drive.
  • The entrance and exit ramps from West Capitol Drive to North Port Washington Avenue will be open, with one lane of traffic maintained.
  • The ramp from I-43 northbound to eastbound Capitol Drive will remain closed. (Scheduled to reopen in fall 2019)
  • North Port Washington Avenue will remain closed to through traffic in both directions.
MCTS: Planned detours will begin May 13. Specific route details can be found on ridemcts.com.
