Únase al Departamento de Obras Públicas (DPW) y a nuestros colegas de la ciudad como anfitriones del primer día de la carrera de STEMke, diseñado para compartir información sobre lo que se necesita para trabajar para la ciudad de Milwaukee en algunas de nuestras carreras más interesantes y desafiantes.
¿Qué es STEM?
S- Science (Ciencia)
T- Technology (Tecnología)
E- Engineering (Ingeniería)
M-Math (Matemática)
Los miembros del personal de las divisiones forestales, obras de agua y saneamiento del departamento de obras públicas estarán a su disposición para hablar con usted acerca de su importante trabajo, y responder a sus preguntas sobre cómo calificar para un trabajo perfecto con la ciudad. Otros departamentos de la ciudad participantes incluyen el departamento de relaciones laborales, el departamento de salud de Milwaukee, los departamentos de los bomberos y policía de Milwaukee, servicios de vecindario, ECO (Oficina de colaboración ambiental), y la biblioteca pública de Milwaukee.

Skills & Experience:
ü  Basic Math skills:  counting, addition, subtraction, multiplication, division
ü  Mechanical Abilities
ü  Previous experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
ü  Ability to lift at least 50 lbs.
ü  Ability to work 1st Shift (6:00 am – 2:30 pm) or 2nd Shift  (2:30 – 11:00 pm)  Overtime available.

Ø  Wages start at $13/hr.
Ø  Stainless Foundry is located on a bus line – on 35th street, just south of Villard.

Join the Department of Public Works (DPW) and our City colleagues as we host the first STEMke Career Day, designed to share information about what it takes to work for the City of Milwaukee in some of our most interesting and challenging careers.
What is STEM?
S - Science
T - Technology
E - Engineering
M - Math
Staff members from DPW's Foresty, Water Works, and Sanitation divisions will be on hand to talk to you about their important work, and answer your questions on how to qualify for that perfect job with the City. Other participating City departments include Employee Relations, the Milwaukee Health Department, Milwaukee Fire and Milwaukee Police departments, Neighborhood Services, ECO (Environmental Collaboration Office), and the Milwaukee Public Library.
Looking for educational and training opportunities? The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee (UWM), Milwaukee Area Technical College (MATC), and Milwaukee School of Engineering (MSOE) will be there to provide information on collegiate and vocational programs.
