MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) – Milwaukee Area Technical College (MATC) is looking for students who qualify for the “MATC Promise” – meaning tuition is free for eligible students.
MATC held a news conference on Wednesday, Oct. 9 to promote the program and let students and parents know what you have to do.
You have to fill out three applications by Feb. 7, 2020:
- FAFSA, the application for federal student aid
- Promise interest form
- Application for MATC
“Promise qualifiers can earn up to 75 credits tuition free toward achieving their dreams,” said Laura Bray, MATC’s vice president of college advancement.
“We can't stress enough, the earlier you apply, the earlier your application becomes reviewed for all the scholarships and grants that we have,” said Al Pinckney, MATC’s executive director of student financial aid.
Both regular students and adults looking to finish their education can apply for the “MATC Promise.”
